General Learner Outcomes

GLO
GLO 1 Self-Directed Learner
Students will need to be responsible for their own learning when it comes to their daily classwork and studying for their assessments.  They will also have to be self-directed when it comes to projects and presentations.  Each student will need to follow through with their responsibilities in the kitchen so their group can be successful.

GLO 2 Community Contributor
Students will have to work together in groups when it comes to some projects and presentations.  They need to be able to communicate with others in the class.  This will be key when it comes to working in the kitchen with their groups.  Every student has their set of tasks and if they do not complete them, their food product may suffer.

GLO 3 Complex Thinker
Students will have to use logical reasoning and math skills in this class.  They will have to figure out how to adjust recipe sizes depending on how many servings they need.  They will have to convert measuring amounts to scaling (weight) amounts (ounces, pounds, grams, etc.).

GLO 4 Quality Producer
Students will need to be quality producers especially when it comes to their food products.  They will need to be able to produce quality food products so they can eventually sell them.

GLO 5 Effective Communicator
Students will need to communicate daily with their peers/group members as well as myself.  Students will have the opportunity to voice their opinions (Student Voice) and have a say in their learning.  They will need to be clear with their ideas and need to be able to explain if needed.

GLO 6 Effective and Ethical User of Technology
Students will need to be able to use all the different types of kitchen tools and equipment safely.  They will also need to be proficient in the Google Suite apps.  They will have to use their computers to research and create presentations for their projects.
