Domain 2: The Classroom Environment

Area of strength: Component 2_b__

Explain: High expectations, higher level of rigor. If I set higher expectations for my students, they will be responsible for one’s own learning. GLO: Self-Directed Learner.

Area for growth: Component 2_b__

Explain: Students need to internalize these high expectations. If students internalize these expectations, they will develop the ability to demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving. GLO: Complex Thinker

This GLO is very important to develop because in Algebra 1 and Geometry, students need to think strategically steps in advance and think abstractly.

Domain 3: Instruction

Area of strength: Component 3_a__

Explain: The teacher makes the purpose of the lesson or unit clear, including where it is situated within the lesson, linking that purpose to student interests. If I make sure that students realize that the lesson is related to their interests, they will be engaged and the lesson will be successful.
