About Me
Aloha e Baldwin 'Ohana,
This is my 4th year at Baldwin High School. I provide academic support with the English Language Arts Department and Care Coordination with the Special Education Department as a Variance Teacher. I also serve as one of the Lima Academy Leads & Junior Advisors.
I was raised in Chicago, where I also studied at university, but have since traveled/resided elsewhere over the past decade. I value learning, reading, photography, traveling, visiting museums/art galleries, being outdoors, & bicycling.
My Why: Facilitating a learning atmosphere where students can confidently plan & achieve their academic and career goals. Encouraging educational opportunities for students to continue to develop their individual voices, choices, & futures! Lessons/learning paths leading to self advocacy, awareness, and community responsibility, are what drive my role & kuleana as an educator. HIKI IĀ MĀKOU! (Together we can!)
My Voice, My Choice, My Future!
Mahalo nui,
Mr. Piedrahita
