Redistricting Plan Update
Dear Puʻu Kukui, Pōmaikaʻi, Wailuku, Maui Waena, ʻĪao, Baldwin, and Maui High Families
We are writing to you to inform you of the final decision regarding the redistricting of central Maui to address overcrowding at Puʻu Kukui Elementary School. A public meeting was held on March 25, 2025, at the Baldwin High School Auditorium on a proposed redistricting plan for the Baldwin-Kekaulike-Kūlanihākoʻi-Maui (BKKM) Complex Area schools to relieve school overcrowding due to the ongoing housing shortage and recent housing developments in the area. At the community meeting, we were able to address questions that were collected online prior to the meeting, alongside questions and concerns from community members present at the meeting.
