Course Description

This course is designed to engage students in various pieces of literature (fiction and non-fiction) intending to develop reading, writing, speaking, and research skills that will be instrumental in your child’s high school education. The course will also include instruction, assignments, and assessments (formative and summative) that will be in alignment with the Common Core State Standards and course objectives. Students are encouraged to ask for additional support or clarification before summative assessments.
