ABOUT ME

Aloha Kākou,

I am a Special Education English teacher at Baldwin High School. I currently teach 11th and 12th grade English Language Arts (ELA). I have been teaching for about 12 years. I taught for 1.5 years at Lāhainā Intermediate School, 5 years in Washington State (in both public and private schools), and this is my 6th year at Baldwin.

I grew up on Maui and went to school all over the island, from Lāhainā to Pāʻia. But I now live in Lāhainā because my ʻohana is from there. Although I live in Lāhainā, I travel everyday to Baldwin because it is a special place for me. In fact, like many of my colleagues, I am an alumnus of this glorious institution.

I am a pretty down to earth person and enjoy just being with my friends and family, it doesnʻt matter what we do. But, I also enjoy being in the water, whether it be the ocean or the pool, and enjoying the sunshine. In fact, our weather and connection to the environment (i.e., respect for the ʻāina and its people) is why I came back home to Maui.

If you are ever on campus, please feel free to stop by. I am located in B-201b (above the office) and my office hours are after school, most days, unless I have a meeting. I look forward to seeing you!

For those of you who enjoy Dungeons & Dragons (DnD), I am also the advisor for the Baldwin's Dungeons & Dragons Club. We meet every Sunday from 12pm-3pm in B201b. Mahalo!
